Hugo Aveta’s sculptures evoke physical manifestations of the Informe (Formless) as proposed by Georges Bataille. They are liminal entities inhabiting the unsettling space between form and chaos, destabilizing categories, challenging binaries, and proposing an Aesthetics of collapse, fluidity, and resistance to definition. These unstable presences simultaneously evoke desire and frustrate it, inviting contemplation of form’s precariousness and the disruptive power of the amorphous.
